Where is the VIN number in FIAT Tipo (356/357/358)?

Chassis Number Locations

1) Front footwell floor (stamped into chassis)

• Where to look: Lift the front passenger floor mat, then find the pre-cut rectangular flap in the carpet. Open the flap to access a black plastic cover in the floor—slide/pull the small latch/clip to remove it. The VIN is stamped directly into the chassis metal, often surrounded by yellow insulation foam.

2) B-pillar / door jamb VIN label (sticker)

• Where to look: Open the passenger-side door and inspect the center pillar (B-pillar) / door jamb area for a VIN sticker label (often combined with weights and paint code info).
• Access: Low. No tools—just open the door and read the label.
• Note: Label placement can vary slightly by market/trim, but it’s typically on the B-pillar or door jamb area.

3) Windshield VIN plate (dashboard, visible from outside)

• Where to look: From outside the vehicle, look through the lower corner of the windshield on the driver-side, at the dashboard near the A-pillar for the VIN plate.
• Access: Low to Medium. Easy to spot, but reflections/glare on the glass can make it annoying to read.
• Note: Best checked in shade or with your body blocking direct sunlight.
