• Where to look: Stand outside the car and look through the bottom corner of the windshield on the driver’s side. The VIN is on a tag on top of the dashboard, behind the glass.

• Where to look: Open the front passenger door and inspect the B-pillar / lower door frame area. The VIN is printed on a sticker fixed to the trim or painted metal.

• Note: Sticker placement can vary slightly by market/trim, but it’s normally in the front door opening.

Engine bay chassis stamp (strut tower)

• Where to look: Open the hood. On the right-hand front suspension strut tower (shock absorber tower / inner fender), find the VIN stamped into the metal near the coolant reservoir area (LHD passenger side), close to hoses/lines.
• Access: High. Often painted over in body color and can be grimy, with hoses partially blocking your angle.
• Note: This is a true stamped chassis marking—important for verification, but it can be frustrating to read.
