Windshield (lower corner)

Engine bay stamped VIN (rain tray / firewall / scuttle)

• Where to look: Open the hood and check the rain tray/scuttle panel area below the windshield wipers, stamped directly into the metal chassis on the vehicle’s right side. It sits slightly under the plastic cowl trim/weather stripping.
• Access: This one is hard to see: you’ll need to peer down into a crevice, often past leaves/debris. Use a light and a rag—sometimes you’ll need to lift/peel the rubber weather seal a bit to get the right viewing angle.
• Note: Orientation is consistent with the footage: on LHD cars, the stamp is on the vehicle’s right (passenger side for LHD).
