Chassis Number Locations

B-Pillar VIN Sticker (Passenger Side on LHD)

• Where to look: Open the front passenger door (LHD/EU/US). Look on the lower B-pillar, near the door latch/strike area. You’ll see a black sticker label with the VIN plus weight ratings/paint info.
• Access: Very easy access; the vertical surface is usually protected and clean. The white text on black label is high-contrast and camera-friendly.

• Note: The windshield VIN is always on the driver’s side for that market (left on LHD, right on RHD).

• Where to look: Open the hood. On the right side of the engine bay (vehicle’s right, regardless of LHD/RHD), locate the suspension strut tower / inner fender wing. The VIN is stamped into the metal, near the coolant expansion tank, running parallel to the fender edge.
• Access: Usually visible, but the stamping can be dirty/greasy and the characters are low-contrast because it’s stamped into body-colored metal.
• Note: This stamped VIN location stays on the right-hand inner fender even when steering wheel position changes.
• Tip: Scrub the area and use side-light (phone flashlight) to create shadows in the stamp, then use High Contrast AI Mode to scan the stamped VIN instead of trying to read faint characters by eye.
