This guide shows where to find the VIN/chassis number on the Toyota Yaris II (2006–2011), including the quick-to-check sticker location and the hidden stamped VIN under the carpet.

Chassis Number Locations

B-Pillar / Door Jamb (VIN Sticker)

• Where to look: Open the front passenger door (LHD) and check the lower part of the B-pillar for a black sticker with white text (it also lists weight ratings and paint code).
• Access: Low difficulty. Easy to reach and read; the main issue is wear/peeling on older cars.
• Note: On the video’s LHD car, this sticker is on the front passenger side.
• Tip: If the label is slightly faded or you don’t want to mistype characters, use the camera to scan the VIN instantly instead of copying it by hand.

Cabin Floor (Stamped Chassis/VIN) — Under Front Right Seat Carpet Flap

• Where to look: Inside the cabin, go to the front right seat area and find the pre-cut flap in the carpet; lift the flap to reveal the VIN stamped into the metal cross-member/floor pan.
• Access: Medium difficulty. It’s dark and awkward to reach; the carpet flap can be stiff or stuck, and debris/rust can hide the stamping if the floor has been wet.
• Note: This Yaris has the stamping on the right side of the floor pan—commonly the passenger side on LHD, but if you don’t find it there, check the driver-side footwell/seat area on your market variant.

• Note: This is the engine number, not the VIN—use it for matching engine identity to documents when required.
